Mariposa Weekend

Do you want to hear all about my weekend?
On the way up to Mariposa, we stopped at Great Aunt Debbie's home in Visalia to rest for the evening.

Here I am with Larissa before I called it a night. Then when we got to Mariposa, the Utu's were there too!
And lucky for me, they have a daughter Akeelah that's 12 days older than me. You got to love older women!

And Julie Glazner was there too! The house we stayed at was beautiful. I loved exploring around.

Then on Friday, I surprised Grandpa by coming to his house unannounced.
Gotcha Grandpa!

The best part of the weekend was crawling around at grandpa's new house.
The mountains are so cool.

Look at my overalls Grandpa... These were made for getting dirty.
I LOVE this place!

Hey Mom- I'm walking with Grandpa!

I've been told I get my energy level from my Grandpa. He's so cool. He always ready to play with me.
Then after I got dirty on the deck, Grandpa gave me a bath in his new sink.
Don't worry Mom, the dirt comes right off...
When Grandma got home I helped her go through the mail. Roscoe helped too.
Grandpa and I read the paper. The sports section's our favorite.
Hey Grandpa can I borrow those glasses?
I stayed the night at Grandpa's house. I woke up bright and early. Lucky for me Grandpa wakes early too. Mom caught us eating some carrots for breakfast.
Mom forgot my bib so grandpa let me use his dish towel. I have a tendency to get food everywhere. It's so hard to refrain from grabbing the spoon. I just can't help my self. After breakfast, all of us (grandma and grandpa included) headed back over to Mariposa to see Dad and the Utu's.
Then on the way home from Mariposa, we stopped at Great Grandma Del's house in Fresno.
Great Grandma's super cool too. We had some lunch together and I got my wiggles out before driving back to Orange County.

Life's Simple Pleasures

Hayden's VERY curious lately. Exploring every bit of the house that he can crawl to. We have to keep an eye on him constantly.

Here's Hayden enjoying an empty Costco-size box. And to think I almost threw it away.

"Wow, what's this?"
There's no reason to spend a lot of money on toys when he's just as interested in a box! (But don't think he's deprived... the kids got PLENTY of toys)He ended up pushing it around the room. Using it as a walker.

He worked up a good sweat pushing the box around. Here's a picture of his sweaty head. Here he is getting distracted by the radio across the room. I included this to show that he no longer puts his head down to crawl.
"Ohhhh. A radio. Maybe it an electrical cord I can chew on!" He's all boy- already fascinated by electronics.

"Hmmm... What's in here?" He explored each one of his shelves this weekend. He enjoyed pulling the books off the top shelf most. He even pulled the turquoise box out to play with. Eventually I took it away and noticed the "Not a toy. Do not let children stick hands in openings."- Opps. :) I guess we won't play with the diaper wipe container anymore.
"What's that?"
I was trying to distract him away from his waste basket (full of diapers that he was trying to chew on- nasty). It worked.

"Mom, can you put the camera down so I eat?"

More Weekend Pictures- Courtesy of Angela

Hey, Where's the boat? Here's Tyler, Alyson (8 months pregnant), Susan, and Randy in Newport Harbor. Alyson came down for a baby shower on Saturday and we celebrated both Tyler and Susan Birthday on Sunday. Here I am attaching the baby torture device- I mean life jacket. He's pissed at us for making wear it.
He momentarily forgot about the big blue torture device when I was tickling his neck.
Captain Ficht

Here's some pictures from Al's shower. Carrie, Jason's cousin, is holding Hayden.

And Linda Churney and Grandma Susan are in the background.

Doesn't he look cute in his big boy outfit.
Both Burke and Blake wanted to hold him.
Blake's turn... They wanted to help feed him too. Burke's holding him while Blake is seeing if he wants any more (he didn't).

Here's Hayden on Aunt Al's lap. It's hard to fit with cousin Noah taking up so much room!

I'm not sure why Jason and I both look so bored in this picture- we really did have a great time. And why are we sitting in exactly the same pose?

Later in the evening Hayden changed into his PJ's before we left Grandma's house.

I promise, I'm not choking him... just another neck tickle. Although I do look like I'm having more fun than Hayden.
