Snip-its of Life

 It's been hot!  Time to pull out the kiddie pool!

 And BBQ with family and friends.  Last weekend we had Jason's parents over and Jacque, Lauren and Jack Becwar (some how I didn't get pictures of everyone).  We made grilled Halibut over a green bean and tomato salad- we used our garden tomatoes and basil.  And Kale/lemon/pine nut Salad.  And bruchetta with  white bean and garlic spread topped with arugula salad.  It was a very green table! Oh, and there's hot dogs for Jacque and the kids. 

 This weekend Angela stopped by.  She brought the kids these Silly Straws. 

 We brought out the mirror so Hayden could see the effect.

 Very fun!

 Of course, when anyone visits they have to go to Hayden's room to get introduced to his super hero toys.

 After dinner relaxing on the patio and watching Hailey run in and out of the pool.

And finally, a little dress up right before bed.  One of Hayden's favorite activities.  It's up there with drawing and super hero toys.

 Lately, when I download my pictures onto my computer I find a handful of these...

Hayden apparently takes my camera and snaps a few photos of his super hero toys.  Little stinker.

2012 Olympics

 As I mentioned in an earlier post, our neighbor April Ross was in the Olympics this year for Beach Volleyball.

 One of her games landed on the weekend so we had a mini-block party to watch the match.  And we made USA themed appetizers.  The flag (blue chips, tomatoes, and mozzarella), the Gold, Silver and Bronze kisses...

 and the Olympic Rings!

 There they are on TV!

 She and her partner did great!  They won this match which meant a USA vs USA final match.  In the end they got a Silver Metal.  Great job USA!!!

 Here's Hailey playing with the girls.  She dressed herself.  Can you tell? She insists on wearing a "pretty" (a skirt).

Summer Fun

When it's a warm day, the kids love to run through the sprinklers.

We've had this hose attachment for a few years now... always lots of fun!

Then they dry off on the warm sidewalk.

We had friends over for dinner the other night.  Hamid and Shannon and their two boy and Dan and Sonia.  We made pork and chicken dumplings from scratch- Dan's recipe.

Olympic Connection

 Our next door neighbor April Ross is in the Olympics in London.  Here's a posted and sign the block made in support.
