The Pool

I love Hailey's beach body! Heading to the pool after Sea World.
And sorry for extra long blog. I feel like Mark Twain who said "I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead" There's just no time to edit.
It was cold and a little rainy but that didn't stop them.
They spent most of their time in the warm spa.

Hayden's pretending to be a killer whale.
Hailey LOVES water.

There were many screams of protest when we finally got her out.
And early the next morning... back to the pool before 9 am.
We need to get this girl some swim lessons soon!

Sea World

The next day we went to Sea World.
We saw the shark exhibit.
And the killer whales
Hayden got a new book.
It shows the insides of a shark... he loves it!
Then came the play area. They had a HUGE climbing area.
And a fun bounce house.

Both kiddos on the climbing nets.

Hailey thought it was a hammock.
She was content to take a nap right there.
And we meet Elmo. We stood in line for Hailey but Hayden was more excited to see him. Hailey wasn't too sure.
Then the penguins and polar bears.

They had a pretend Polar Bear den for the kids to play in. Here's Hayden's bear imitation.
And a sleeping bear.
Baby Beluga!
Hayden requested a picture as he posed with a stuffed animal in the gift shop.
After Sea World there was more beach time.
A look back at our room. The resort was older and funky but so much fun for the kids! They loved the beach, bon fires, and pools!

San Diego Mini-Vacation

We headed down to San Diego for a 2 night stay. We drove down during nap time. Poor Hayden has a hard time getting comfortable in his booster seat. This is how he finally feel asleep.
Here are the kids looking out our slider at the visiting ducks. I think they are acustom to getting feed by the guests!
The hotel gives you a Smores Kit for the camp fire.
The fire pit is right outside the rooms.
Hayden eating the marshmallow right off the stick.
No need to assembly anything!
Hailey's first experience with fire.
The next morning. A little walk on the beach before Sea World.
These are in reverse order (this was before the smores). We took a bike ride around the resort.
We parked the bike for a little dinner on the bay. A very relaxing setting. It would have been 100 times more relaxing without the kids but what fun would that be!

Hayden's T-Ball Team

Last weekend Hayden had a "Meet the Team" event for T-ball.
Meeting new friends.
Watching the kids run the bases while we wait for announcements.
Hayden and Hailey walking the bases with Grandma's help.
What a nice big brother... holding her hand.
He didn't want her to get run over by the other kids running the bases.
He gave her his cap to wear.

Our team!
Here they are getting their hats.
Then the teams broke up for some baseball drills. There's the coach. I'm a little worried about how Hayden's going to do. He lost interest very quickly in each drill. Here's Jason describing how to run the bases (Hayden kept running on the grass or he'd stop half way and walk).
There he goes.
Good job Hayden (this one was better than most).
Next was batting practice. First time Hayden held a metal bat... much heavier than the plastic one we have! This is our first introduction into organized sports. It should be very interesting!
