Snow Papa Visit- Part 3

Then on Saturday afternoon.  Hailey ran out of the house after her bath, just in a diaper, and hoped in the jeep.
She apparently knows how to drive!
 Surprised us all.
 She was so happy!
She's a big girl now!

Snow Papa Visit- Part 2

On Saturday we headed down to Newport Pier, mainly so Hayden could climb on the playground's climbing structure.
Hailey enjoyed the standard playground equipment.
She was a little too small to climb on the big web like her brother.
Here's Hayden, he's at the top.  He got a ton of comments on his Spiderman costume.  "Look mommy, it's Spiderman!" Normally I don't let him leave the house in his superhero costumes.  But I knew how much joy he'd get from climbing as Spiderman!

Next we headed down to the water.
But not before the sunscreen regiment!
Here's a picture looking back at the playground.
Hayden finally decided to change into his swim suite and join us at the beach.

 Run Hayden, run!

Hayden was trying to encourage Hailey to join him in the water.
She wasn't so sure about the waves.  She's much more brave around pools.
She warmed up to the idea a little- especially with Papa and Daddy holding her.
By the end, she was getting her feat wet.

Here's Hayden- flexing for the camera.  What a ham!

Snow Papa Visit- Part 1

Papa came down for a long weekend.  First thing Friday morning, Hayden wanted to show Snow Papa that he's no longer scared to drive the jeep by himself.
In fact, he's quite the dare devil.  Hold on Hailey!
When Hayden would gas it, the jeep would do a little wheelie.
 This pleased him!
But don't worry, no one got hurt (surprisingly).
Next was another favorite- the back of Papa's truck!
Hayden and Hailey could spend hours back here.  So much fun.  Especially with the tool box open.  All sorts of fun stuff in there- like bungie cords and levels.  This picture summarized them both- Hayden in a superhero costume and Hailey with her baby carriage.

4th of Jul- 2012 Parade and Block Party

It was another fun 4th on Woodland.  Here's the crew getting ready for the neighborhood parade.
Here's Page helping push Hailey.  I'm pretty sure Hailey's telling her to let go.  She didn't want to be pushed- Miss Independent.
Our friends, The Bennett's, came over for the parade with their 2 year old daughter Sydney.
Waiting to jump in.
Hayden got a ton of comments in his Captain America costume.  It was a big hit, both years now!
Only bummer was the sun never came out.

Bounce house at the park.

Burrito from Chronic Tacos!
Bonnie made this and a great cole slaw... and I can't remember what I made.  Another reason I should blog more timely!
We hung out with the Bennett's at our place.
Then in the afternoon, we had a block party at The Smith's pool.
Here's my dare devil.  She had no fear of the water... not even a healthy fear.
She'd jump right into the deep end.
So trusting!
We need to keep a very close eye on her around pools.
I'm very anxious for both kids to be water safe.  Right now pool parties are pretty tiring for Jason and I.  We both end up in the pool the entire time.  And this explains why there are so little pictures from the afternoon.  :)
