Cayucos Trip

Last weekend we ventured up to Cayucos for the long weekend.
Both sets of grandparents came too. But somehow, I managed to miss pictures of most of the family (snow-grandma, beach grandma/papa and even Hailey).
Here's Hayden checking out Jason's wet suit.
Jason got in the water for the first time in years.
Here's the house we rented. On Studio drive with with stairs to the beach.
And views of the rock.
If I can get Sue's photos's I'll post more...

Trying to Keep Up...

I'm still a little behind on my posts. This is Super Bowl weekend... another block party.
Hailey and her many faces.
Hayden playing in the bath with his shaving kit.
Why doesn't Dad look this happy shaving in the morning?
And last weekend we had a b-day party at a bounce house place. As you can see, Hayden was in heaven!
It was 2 hours of pure joy. He especially liked that we were able to jump and slide with him.
All the party kids.
And Hailey enjoyed a little bouncing too.

A Week Behind...

I'm a little behind on my post with no good excuse except that I just haven't taken many pictures. I think it's because Hailey's much more active and that makes taking pictures much harder. Here she is licking the swing.
We had a play date in Irvine with my friend Angela and her family. I didn't get any pictures of the rest of us- just a few of Hailey on the swing.
I almost didn't post them because they aren't that great. But that would make it three weeks between posts and I'd have one disappointed "snow papa".
So, hopefully I'll do getter next post. Here, Hailey's found her way into Hayden's costume drawer.
"He won't mind if I chew on a couple swords will he?"
Her eyes are red because she had just been crying (can't remember why). She doesn't like the feel of the grass on her bare feet.
It makes it hard to sit when you have to keep your feet from touching the ground.
Hayden playing with his Star Wars action figures. You can see Hailey eyeing Hayden's toys... you can guess what happened next.
Hayden's learning a lot at school- they just celebrated Chinese New Year last week. He especially liked the red envelopes with chocolate coins inside! He's also exercising his vocabulary. We just have to make sure he's using his newly found words in the appropriate context. His new favorite is "disgusting." He can find himself in a lot of trouble with this one.
Here he is torturing a poor rolly-polly bug.
