Hailey's First Dance Performance

Hailey's been taking ballet and tap lessons.  Her class had their first performance last weekend.
They did a tap dance to Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. They even had a reindeer tail on their costumes!
Hailey was most excited about curling her hair and wearing stage makeup (lipstick and blush).
Hayden on his way back from Jui Jitsu.  He didn't want his picture taken.
 With the antlers one.
 Cutest little reindeer ever.
 Waiting backstage to go on.
Her group went on 10th of 14 performances.
That's a long time for little ones to wait.  Here are the girls coloring backstage.  The helper mom brought coloring books and crayons.
 They did great!
 So cute.
Hailey's watching her classmate to remember the moves!
Daddy got her flowers for after the performance.
And Beach Grandma and Grandpa came to watch too.

Christmas Cookies

Last weekend we made and decorated ginger and sugar cookies.
Hailey, my sweet tooth, was very excited about this!
Brooke, Paige and Ethan came over to help.
Paige made the sugar cookie dough from a Pintrest recipe.
Then she gave each of my kids a beater to lick.
 No complaints from Hailey!
 Or Hayden.
 The kitchen mess.
 Fresh out of the oven.
 Hailey making frosting with me.
 Decorating stations.
Then Paige used my camera and got some pictures of the kids.

I think this one is my favorite!
Sugar cookies going into the oven.

Brooke is a Freshman at Newport Harbor HS (this is so I can remember when I look back at the block in my old age).
It was a fun day of cookie making!
And a couple pictures of our house.  New doors off the front, barn doors leading to the side yard and the fire pit.
And my favorite part about the barn doors is getting to hand the Christmas wreaths!
Gus gus, our elf, got a special army man outfit!
Look at the detail!

More Fall Fun

Last Halloween picture.  So we don't forget what Snow Papa's costume!  And I'm holding my friend/neighbor/co-worker's baby.
And Snow Grandpa brought Hayden a drafting table from Great-Grandpa Charles.  Super special.  It's the drafting table Grandpa Charles used for all of his art.
Hayden drawing a picture for Veteran's Day.
The block came over one Saturday pre-Thanksgiving to make "Thankful Tree's".
We used the "cabana" as the art room
We set up the block party table.  And used the desk and drafting table.  That made for plenty of table space to craft.
 Everyone hard at work

 Worker bees!
 Hailey's tree.

 Final product.

 Group picture.

 Hayden's Thankful Tree.
And off topic, but something I'm thankful for... Hayden's spelling tests!
Hailey at ballet class.  They made turkey hats.
A little hot cocoa with our neighbor friends.
Yum!
