Happy 1st Birthday Hailey

We had a little family party for Hailey's 1st birthday. Hayden was in charge of making cupcakes. :)
What a good big brother!
Daddy got a big ballon for Hailey and she LOVED it!
It's fun to see what excites her.
And Snow Grandma came down to help celebrate.
Hailey loves to snuggle... and grandma doesn't mind a bit!
Decorating cupcakes!
Dinner with the family.
Hailey enjoyed her first corn. Now, can you do that with your leg?
The finished b-day cupcakes.
Birthday dress.
She was so excited and happy to have everyone there to celebrate.
And Hayden could hardly wait for us to finish dinner to open her gifts.
He'd prep the gifts for her (i.e. pull tissue paper out of bags, etc.). She was so giddy with each present- it was very cute.
Look how excited she is here... and I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what it is. But the shape and colors were so fun! (It's a fun, inflatable pool seat for her)
A pink horsey!
A baby doll from The Jeffersons. (What is Hayden doing in this pic?)
Cruising with the new horse.
She was all smiles on her big day!
Stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 7 oz (45-50%)
Height: 29.5" (65-70%)
Head Circum.: 18.25" (85-90% WOW!)

Birthday Cupcake

Hailey got a cupcake for her birthday. Pure joy!
She might have a sweet tooth.
She's probably wondering why we've held out on the chocolate for so long.
A bath shortly followed this picture.
Happy girl.

Playmates

This is Hailey's excited face. She can't believe that Hayden's came to play in her crib!
Hayden threw in every stuffed animal, which made it extra cozy.
It's impossible to get them to both look at the camera and smile.

Present from Angela

Hailey got a package in the mail this week for her birthday.
She finally make it into the box and all she can see is the tissue paper.
Oh, look what else came with the tissue paper!
Wonder how it tastes?
Thank you Angela! Hailey (and Hayden) are having fun with the alphabet caterpillar.

Special Hayden Day

Jason tricked Hayden on Wednesday. Hayden thought Dad was driving him to school but instead they went to... Disneyland!!! Not a bad surprise, huh! This is the second time this year Jason's done that.
Hayden and Jason enjoyed a nice Father-Son day rooming the "Happiest Place on Earth."
Last time they went, they watched a "Jedi Show". Hayden couldn't stop talking about it. They choose volunteers from the audience to go to Jedi Training and fight Darth Vader- but Hayden didn't get picked. This time Jason was determined to get Hayden picked.
This was Hayden waiting through show # 2... Don't loose hope Hayden!
And finally he got picked! It's hard to see him here (furthest kid from the camera), he's the only one that's wearing the hood. Hayden's a pro at disguises, he won't let a good hood go to waste!
A shot from behind. He's finished his training and now he's waiting in line to fight Darth Vader.
There he is... it's like David and Goliath. Jason apologizes for cutting off Darth's head, not used to his phone camera. They had many other special moments but these are the ones Jason captured and texted me throughout the day while I was stuck at work. Thanks again Angela for getting them in- they had a WONDERFUL time!

Another Family Picnic at Preschool

Hayden was so excited to see us at the annual Family Picnic.
And he was extra clingy. He didn't want to play with his friends. He rather hang out with Dad.
I guess his friends can't do this...
And once again, he was not a happy camper when it came time for us to leave. (pull it together Hayden)
But he survived.

Class of 2011

On May 6th we celebrated Sue's graduation by attending Vanguard University's 2011 Commencement.
Hayden got dressed up for the occasion (don't worry, we made him change).
Sue graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology.
Here she is with her proud husband.
The commencement was held a Mariner's Church and was very nice.
And they had childcare on site (Note parents with young ones: the children's playground at Mariner's is amazing! Ask Hayden, he'll tell you all about it).
Walking in with her class.
Listening to the speakers.
A picture of the program. See those three stars by her name? That's right, Sue was summa cum laude (with highest honor) GPA of 3.9 - 4.00! She graduated top of her class!
Walking to get her diploma.
Congratulations Sue (aka, beach-Grandma)!!! We are very proud of you.
