Pre-Thanksgiving Fun

Angela came to visit. These are her picture. Lucky for me, someone took pictures! Hailey loves to read... you think she'd notice the pictures are upside down!
She has a dangerous sweet tooth! Loves pudding cups. And knows exactly where they are keep.
Hayden's fort! Makes a nice mess of the living room but keeps both kids occupied. This is him "surfing" on it.
Then on Sunday we took a trip to South Coast. Hayden got a Captain America book. He couldn't wait to get home to read it.
The kids got See's Candy treats. Hailey sucked it down to the stick.
And of course the merry-go-round! Another fun weekend!

Halloween Night (Finally)

I'd figure I'd better post some Halloween pictures before the next holiday! Here's Hayden the mummy. He LOVED getting his face painted.
And Hailey the fairy. She loves walking outside at night with all the big kids.
Here's a picture of the whole crew. After this we rounded the neighborhood trick or treating (no pictures). After a while Hayden got tired so we headed home before the other kids.
Here we are checking out our candy bag. And every time we got a trick or treater, Hayden would give them some of his candy even though I had plenty to hand out.
What a generous mummy!

Halloween Weekend Part 4- Block Party

We brought over our cleaned out pumpkins to carve with the rest of the neighbors.
Ok, what's wrong with this photo? Do you see it?
That's right, Hailey's holding a knife. Where are the vigilant adults on this block?
John came over this his super cool mask. Hayden immediately asked if he could wear it.
That was very nice of John.
Hayden loves disguises.
Potluck time! We decided to hold the block party on Sunday night and just do the trick or treating on Monday.
Yum!
Bobbing for apples!
He's always so animated.
He did it
Yes, he had a batman suit under his spiderman suit.
And of course you can always find Hailey by the food.
Suzanne's amazing Smores cupcakes with the graham cracker bottom.
Why is the littlest one pulling the wagon?
Here comes the scary monsters.
And the reaction.
Fun times at Woodland Place.
Hold on Hayden!
Pie eating contest! Well, actually it was a whipped cream eating contest.
In the hair and all over the spiderman suit!
Hailey came out to play after her bath. She wore her panda hat to stay warm.
A little wagon ride for Hailey.

Halloween Weekend Part 3- Beach Time

After Hailey's nap we went down to the beach to play.
Hayden was afraid of the waves...
but not Hailey!
This girl loves that water.
This was the two of them on the drive home. Hailey always sticks her hand out in the car for Hayden to grab. I tried my best to get a picture while I was stopped at a stop sign.
Then some snuggle time after a much needed bath.
Taking turns with Hailey.

Halloween Weekend- Part 2, Carving the Pumpkin

We decided to carve the pumpkin while Hailey was napping.
Which was just as well, because she didn't seem too interested in it.
Hayden trying to get the seeds out with the scoop. It was a very slow process (1-3 seeks at a time).
And he insisted on doing it himself with no help.
Here's grandma trying to give him some pointers- ditch the scoop and use your hands!
He gave it a try.
Slimy.
He lost interested after cleaning it out. We ended up carving the face the next day at the block party.

Halloween Weekend- Part 1

Snow Papa and Grandma came down to visit.
On Friday night we had Jason's folks over for dinner. I apparently didn't get my camera out until after dinner. Here's Hailey enjoying her first pumpkin pie!
And Hayden's an old pro at eating pumpkin pie.
Then after dinner we had some pretend play involving lots of stuffed animals (while the rest of us tried to watch the end of the World Series).
Hailey before we wrangled some PJ's on her.
Then another hug fest started. Actually this time Hailey attached Hayden for some kisses.
And like a good brother he obliged.
They sure get along well right now... hope it last. :)
