Oh boy!
Feeding Hayden his first rice cereal was harder than I imagined. He wanted to grab the spoon himself which would knock the spoon and spill the very runny rice cereal everywhere. You can see me trying to contain his hands in this picture. Although he did manage to get one of his hands on the spoon.
Here's dad trying to contain the mess with a
burb cloth.
He really liked it, even though only 10% actually made it into his mouth. He'd
whine for more between spoonfuls.

What's mom doing with her face?
I guess I was
unconsciously demonstrating the eating motions for Hayden. But his first taste of "real" food was from Grandpa Bob. I came home from work and Hayden had brownish drool on his shirt. I asked what it was and dad said, "Oh, we tried some chocolate ice cream. I was going to change it before you got home. We got caught Hayden."
