Hayden and I had lots of good one on one time this week with Jason out of town. Overall he was a very good boy. We even got out of the house his morning and went for breakfast at "Haught Cakes." We both had eggs.
Before Jason left, we had Grandma and Grandpa Ficht bring down the kiddie gates they have to help keep Hayden out of the kitchen (he loves all the cabinets he's not supposed to get into).
You can see how effective they are in our house! Although, they did provide him with a nice distraction from the kitchen. He's very proud of himself here. "Take that you silly gate- how dare you try to corral me!"
Here's one of Hayden's new wooden blocks he got from Cousin Noah.
He loves to pretend he's on a cell phone.
"Excuse me mom, can't you see I'm on the phone!"
I cleared out the sideboard in the dining room and stuck all Hayden's toys in it. This way he can open and close the doors all he wants and I don't have to keep saying "get out of there Hayden!" We are both much happier with this arrangement!
Here he is two hours past his nap time. I finally got him down when our obnoxiously loud door bell rang! "Don't wake up my child!" It was the neighborhood girls selling Brownie cookies.
Hayden's fond of shoe (although not so much his own). I realize this would be a much cuter picture if he was a girl. He should be very grateful he never has to wear heels!
