The weekend is nearly over and I haven't posted yet. If I don't post now, the week will get away from me and I'll have some disappointed "Hayden fans" in Central California. :)
These are pictures I took last weekend of Hayden having some fun in our empty laundry basket.
Hayden's saying more and more words. He's particularly good with words beginning in "B". Ball, bat, bike, bath- although they all kind of sound the same! We can't really say the word bath around Hayden anymore- not unless where ready to give him one. Once he hears bath, he immediately drops what he's doing and runs to the bathroom door (which is kept closed these days to keep out little explorers). He starts pounding on the door saying, "ba, ba!" Grandma Connie instilled in him the love of bath time. I would just give him quick baths- get him in, get him clean, get him out. All business. But during my mom's last visit, she would bath him and let him play and play.
Oh, and he's learned his first Spanish word, "agua." Reyna told us last week that he's been saying it. I've heard him say it a few times- once while pointing at a water bottle and once will pointing at the faucet.
We are under construction again. We are updating what we call "The Cabana"- a shack like unit in our backyard. This was the second weekend the contractors came to work. Here's the view from the inside looking out the french doors.
And here's the view looking out the other door towards the street). That's Kevin our contractor/carpentor.
And this is Hayden wishing they'd let him play with the nail gun. :)

What is "The Cabana" going to be used for when it's all done? Just curious. ;)
We'll use the room for Jason's office- which includes his drafting table. I can't wait to get the drafting table out of our current office/guest room! But eventually I can see the room becoming Hayden's play area (X-box, etc.).
