Grandma Visit

Grandma came down and took me to the tide pools at Laguna Beach.Look at the shell I found (opps mom cut it off).
Grandma did her best to keep me dry.And Dad tried to help me climb the rocks- I'm trying to get him to stop grabbing my shirt! See that fan on the left. I stuck my toe in it while it was running- not recommended. Grandma was there to help clean it and put a Band-Aid on.
I sure love it when I get visitors! The pictures don't show it, but 80% of grandma's waking hours were spent drawing me pictures. I love to draw- crayons, sidewalk chalk, color pencils- I use all mediums. Although mom only lets me use paint at school.
And off topic a bit- we planted fall color stuff today. It's one of the small ways to help identify the changing seasons since the weather doesn't change very drastically. Here's how you can tell it's fall/winter in Southern California: Football Season, the assortment of squash and apples in the produce section at the market, Starbuck's seasonal drinks (and eventually the red cups which really help usher in the holiday season!), and now our planters!

Thank you fall-colored Mums!

I always wondered what would happen if a body part got caught in the fan!
