It's a warm weekend. Which means water fun on Woodland!

Hailey loved the sprinklers.

Here she is watching how big brother does it. Hayden wouldn't run through our sprinklers... but when the neighbor girls did it, he was all in.

Hailey got suited up too. The girls all love her but she gets stranger anxiety if Jason and I are too far away.

Hayden loves it when Brooke chases him!

Someone's having fun!

Hailey bravely walked up to the sprinkler too.

And it was really fun...

until it rotated a little too far and gave her a good spray in the face.

Good thing Brooke was there... I didn't really have a strong desire to run into the sprinklers myself.

Hayden's goofing off for the ladies.

Anything for a laugh.

Then last night Hayden wanted Jason to set up the tent in the back yard. And it got it in his head that he was going to sleep out there. He wanted no mattress and no adults.

I did put a sleeping bag underneath him to give him a little cushion from the brick- but he refused the air mattress. This is him telling us to get out and zip up the door so he can go to sleep. Such an independent (and stubborn) child.

By 9 pm he was fast asleep. I wasn't sure about him sleeping outside all alone. So at 9:30 I made Jason go outside to sleep with him. Jason got the idea in Hayden's head so he was the lucky one to sleep on the brick. Hayden woke at 3 am, called for dad and then went back to sleep. Jason however, couldn't fall back asleep so he carried Hayden in. Hayden was NOT happy about this. So, I ended up sleeping (if you can call it that) in Hayden's room from 3 am - 6 am. We are all very tired today. Good thing it's a long weekend!
