We had Thanksgiving at my Aunt Debbie's house. Unfortunately, I didn't get any good ones inside. I'm still learning how to shot on manual and inside in low light is still a challenge for me.
But I got a few of their family outside that turned out nice.
Later that night we drove up to my parents house. Mom couldn't wait to give Sylas his Christmas present. Here are Hayden and Hailey anxiously watching Sylas open it.
He got a camera! 70D. He was very happy!
And of course, it didn't take long before Hayden started drawing.
The next morning the kids got to open their presents. Hayden was super excited to get a globe!
Hailey and Grandpa.
Hayden got jealous and had to jump in for a hug. And look at how jealous poor Roscoe is in the background!
Hayden reading his homework book.
Then Hayden got B-day presents too! He got this really cool bear (can't see his face because of the hat) that was made out of wood with a chain saw.
And he also got that fur hat. He was happy- he loves Davy Crocket type hats and bears.
Saturday afternoon the Andrew bunch came up and helped Grandpa and Hayden finish the tee pee.
Two happy mountain boys!
Then they let me practice taking pictures on Manual. Below are the better of the bunch.
Then we piled in Dad's truck and headed to the top of the property to pick out Christmas Trees.
Hailey hitched a ride on Larissa.
We picked out two trees- one for Deb and one for Justin.
Justin and Tyler- my favorite picture of the two of them!
Hailey and Larissa.
Hiking around looking for the best tree.
Hailey looks tired!
Tyler cutting down his tree.
With a little help from dad.
Trimming up the bottom of the tree.
Debbie's tree!
Putting twine on the tree for the truck ride home.
Group shot! Hayden didn't want to come for some reason. He stayed back at the house with Grandma and drew.
Then, at the end, Hailey decided she wanted a tree too.
So we found a good size one for Papa's house and let Hailey cut it down.
Papa coaxing Hailey to try the saw.
There she goes!
Cutting down her first tree.
Papa looks so proud!
And a high five from Justin!
Back in the truck to head back to the house.
The girls sat in the cab of the truck for the ride back.
Later that night, Uncle Rob stopped by. And once again, my low light camera settings were off. This was the best picture I got. And Rob's blurry in it! Ugh! I need more practice. But we decorated the tree, at left over Thanksgiving Dinner, and had a great time visit! It was a very fun and memorable trip.
