We finally planned a family
vacation the very last week of summer. These are all iPhone photos- we
didn't take a camera. They are out of order as they do Jason's phone
first and then mine.
We went back to the same place as
last year but no upgrades to the villa this year.
But it didn't matter since
the kids spend most of their day in the pool.
Happy!
Sunet.
The view from the lobby.
The kids like the big sand pit in the lobby.
Lobby looking back towards the parking area.
View from the pool looking back at the ocean.
Hard decisions, pool or ocean.
When Hayden got tired of swimming he wanted to draw.
He's always drawing!
Walking to the Lau.
Hailey loves watching the hula girls.
View from the dinner table.
Watching the coconut milking demo.
Hayden bought a wood carved turtle.
Hawaiian band.
Hailey loves her sweets!
The kids were invited on stage and Hailey ran up.
Pictures with the dancers.
One morning we woke early
and caught a boat to Molikini to go snorkeling.
Sunset sushi dinner at our hotel on the last night.
It was such a beautiful sunset. Our iPhone photo doesn't do it justice.
Lunch at Monkeypod before going to the airport.
We like their Mai Tai's best- they have a passion fruit meringue that's so good!
Now iPhone photos from my phone (starting over at day one). Hailey fell asleep at the dinner table. The time change was too much! But she wouldn't let go of her lei.
First morning sunrise from
the balcony. It was so pretty and you could still see the moon and
it's reflection on the ocean.
Every morning we'd go to the lobby to get coffee, for the adults of course.
Then we went to the beach for an early morning walk.
We looked for shells but only found coral.
Pink dragon fruit. The ones in CA that we've had are white.
The waves were bigger than
last year because there were hurricanes off Maui (three in a row!). We
got fortunate that they didn't come ashore. All three stayed well off
shore. We just got a little rain each day and big surf.
This was a state park beach
we drove to one day. Waves were so big they advised not to get in.
Plus it was a shore break.
Plenty of warning signs.
So we got a shave ice and
enjoyed watching the big waves. It was also pretty hot and humid during
our time (low 90's/high 80's). Also a result of the hurricanes.
Tired girl.
Walking to the lau- photo from my phone.
Pulling the pig out of the ground.
Waiting for the show to start.
The dancers!
After the show pictures.
Another dinner during the week.
Snorkeling.
Boat ride home.
Soaking in the sun.
