We took one last vacation right before school started.
We went to Park City, UT.
The kids loved it! We played on the Alpine Slides area and it was one big play ground for the kids and us.
To access the Alpine slide you take the ski lift up the hill.
Then grab your slides and roll them over to the start of the ride.
The red handle in the middle is the brake and trust me you need it! They get going so fast.
Bottom of the hill.
There was also all kinds of activities at the bottom of the hill. We got an arm band so we could do all of them. Here's Hailey on the trampoline.
An obstacle course.
heading back up the hill!
They also had a roller coaster that you caught at the bottom of the hill.
You ride it up the hill and then back down. It also has much needed brakes!
Eating dinner in downtown Park City. Hailey's kid dessert, worms in chocolate pudding.
It's an old mining town and the buildings downtown are really cute.
There are walking paths in the city.
We walked up the hill one morning after breakfast.
Looking back towards the town.
Crossing the bridge.
One day we rented bikes.
They have a lot of bike paths away from the streets so it's nice a safe with kids.
We also went to the old Winter Olympic center and they had a nice museum.
This was an interesting display on how snow varies better the CA Sierra's and UT's Mts. It's much colder in UT and more "dry" or powdery snow.
This is the difference between 1" of water (snow) in CA (left) and UT (right).
They had several statues of historical figures important to the area in town.
Most of the cute old houses have been redone but kept in the old style.
One of the main streets downtown.
At the Olympic center the kids did a tube ride down the hill.
On the last day we took a little drive to Sundance.
We were really glad we did. It was so cute.
We had lunch and walked around.
They had walking paths leading to cabins you could rent.
Bridge over the creek.
Someday we'll have to go back and stay in one of those cabins!
