We took Hayden to the beach by our house this weekend. When we first got down to the water Hayden was scared by the sound of the waves. He started crying and shacking.
He eventually relaxed and enjoyed the beach- at least the sand.
He corn-dogged his foot...
Made castles with his bucket (he enjoyed knocking them down far more than creating them).
We couldn't get him comfortable enough to go down to the water. We'll have to try a beach with less waves next time.
By the end he was covered in sand and water.
Here I am de-sanding Hayden before putting him into the car.
He rode home in his diapers and then took a long afternoon nap!

Remember this day. Very soon I expect you'll be publishing a picture of Hayden dragging his surf board through the sand to the water. After all, it wasn't so long ago that he didn't like the vacuum cleaner -- and now he thinks it's a special toy just for him!
