Lots of Activities... Very Little Pictures

Last weekend Cousin Noah was in town. We spent some time at the big park near our house. We also went to the beach but I forgot my camera- this is very common lately.
Here's Hayden scaling another wall.
What's this random photo? Well, it's a cookie baking contest we spontaneously had last Saturday night. We had Jacque and Lauren over for dinner and afterwards Jason mentioned he'd like some cookies (as if it's easy to just whip up a batch). We began talking about different cookie recipes, how touchy they can be depending on technique, your oven, etc. Jason's chiming in (as if he's made cookies more than once in this life). Some how we ended up in a cooking contest, boys vs. girls. It was very competitive!
Here we are judging the results.
Girl's Cookies Guy's Cookies
No cookie was perfect (girls too flat, guys a little cakey) but we think they guys took the prize this time. Note: To avoid flat cookies, place dough in fridge or 30 minutes or so (our mistake). Wait, how did this end up in Hayden's blog? Some how I took pictures of this but not Hayden's activities... Then last night we hosted the "Beyond Boarder's" group from UC Irvine (a social group of International Graduate Students). Hayden was very pleased that a PhD student had two little girls for him to play with.

Hayden was pleased with the menu choice- pizza.

Hayden was a huge flirt with the ladies. I think he sat on everyone's lap. Here he is stealing this poor girl's salad. And this picture was taken right before he sneezed on her food. Gross.

This post made me laugh out loud! How very clever. Just by looks I voted on the guys' cookies. Sorry ladies! Hope to see you guys soon - like SUNDAY, unless Angela cancels again ;)

Hayden looks like he's gotten a bit taller. He sure does know how to "work the room!"
