We celebrated a birthday weekend in Cayucus in Mid-April. My dad, brother, and my birthday are within a month of each other.
The first night Hayden, Jason and I stayed in Los Osos. Then we meet the rest of the family on Friday morning in Cayucus. Each night we left Hayden with my parents while Jason and I got some nice uninterrupted sleep back in Los Osos. Hayden slept in a real twin bed for the first time and only fell off twice! We placed a ton on pillows on the floor in case he was to roll off- good thing. Niether fall woke him. After the second roll off grandma slept with him (using the word sleep very loosely here) to keep him in the bed. By the second night, we stuck him back into his pack and play so he and grandma could get a good nights rest.
First things first... grandma and grandpa came armed with new toys! Lots of cars and trucks.
They immediately got put to good use!
The beach is always a Hayden favorite. He spent his time pushing the yellow truck down to the waves (grandpa tailing him the whole way). And grandpa knows how much Hayden likes fruit juice so he brought his Jack LaLanne Juicer. Hayden and Jason loved making fresh juice. They are now asking for their very own... Guess who would be the lucky person cleaning the juicer after each use???
Here's a picture of the whole crew before we left to go home. Does Hayden look tired to you? He had one fun weekend.
One last hug for great-grandma before hitting the road!

The beach session wasn't complete until we buried Hayden
