We finally got around to setting up Hayden's bed (my $10 yard sale find). Hayden's been ready for this for a while, we just needed to find time to dismantle the
cribe and assembly the bed. We finally got our act together last weekend. Hayden loves it! He likes to have people sit and read him books before bed time, which is becoming a bit of a stall tactic but still fun.

Now, off topic a bit. It's apparently swordfish season and our neighbor Dave's good friend owns the Blue Water Grill in Newport Beach. Dave came up with a plan around 4 pm that we needed to have a neighborhood fish grill. So, he went to the
restaurant, got hooked up (no pun
intended) with 6 lbs of fresh swordfish from the restaurant and he grill them up with some
zucchini. We contributed some chicken
enchiladas (which were already in the oven when the plan was transpiring) and the other neighbors
brought salad and rice.

So this is how we spent our evening. Enjoying some great weather, perfectly cooked swordfish, and good company. Hayden loved playing with the big kids on the block. Plus Maggie was there with her older brother Jake, Hayden's new favorite person- mainly because Jake knows how to fill the squirt guns from the garden hose.
