Hayden just finished his last night as an only child. And we just finished our last night as parents of an only child.
Dave came over and grabbed Jason after dinner and told him he need to have a beer because it may be his last night to relax for the next 3 years.
Hayden was so happy he got to hold the girl's cat. Can you believe this cat would let the kids hold it like a baby- not one scratch.
And to top off the evening, Hayden ran into the house before us, slammed the door and locked us out. I'm not sure if he locked it or if it locked inadvertently while he shut it. Either way, we were locked out. After a few minutes trying to coach Hayden through unlocking the door (no success) Jason climbed through the kitchen window. Tomorrow's the big day! My folks are driving down tonight and we'll have both grandparents ready for her arrival. Ok, got to go... still need to decide on a name. :)
