4th of July Pool Party

It was another fun 4th of July on Woodland Place. Suzanne had all sorts of fun games and an obstacle course for the kids.
Here's Maggie explaining the obstacle course rules to Hayden.
They let Hayden walk up and place the hula hoop- the big kids had to throw it from a few feet back.
Maggie was so sweet helping Hayden. She's the youngest of three so I think she likes having someone to help.
Then on to the ballon toss.
Hayden was a rough partner. Here he is throwing the water ballon in the wrong direction. You can see Suzanne trying to tell him to throw it to Jason.
And on to the slip-n-slide. Eric would stand on one end and Jason on the other. They'd launch Hayden back and forth. On your marks, get set....
GO!!!
Then the block headed down to Scott's house for more fun in the pool. Here's brave Hayden before dad did a canon ball into the pool.
He made it!
And Hailey got her swim suit on for the occasion but just couldn't stay awake.
After a couple hours in the pool- it was back for a new obstacle course.
Hailey was there to cheer on the kids.
And the day's not complete without some ice chest shooter rides.
And more pool time. We calculated that Hayden spent 5 hours in the pool that day- which meant Jason spent 5 hours in the pool.
Because 5 weeks after delivery I was not about to put a swim suit on to help with pool duty. Poor Jason.
Oh, and we can't forget the food. We counted at least 20 side dishes. You need three stomaches for our block parties.
Then we finished the evening with fire works. Hayden excused himself half way through the fireworks because he was SOOOOO tired (no nap of course).
Happy 4th of July!

Lots of fun and good food, too!
Glad to see Hayden enjoying the pool. Hailey looks like a great swimsuit model!
