Legoland Trip

I'm behind again in posting.  A few weeks ago we took a little mini-vacation to San Diego.
 Hailey requested Lego Land.
It was the first time for all of us.
The kid's favorite was a pirate ship at the back of the park.
While it wasn't in the "water park" section of the park- it was was a water attraction for sure!
Hayden's favorite part was the large bucket at the top of the pirate ship that gradually filled with water. And about once every 10 minutes it would dump water over the whole place.
Once Hayden realized this, he started hanging out at the bottom just waiting for the water to drop.
I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the bucket!  I was too busy taking pictures of Hayden running away from all the water.
Hailey also loved the water pirate ship attraction.
And since we didn't realize the park would have so much water, we had to purchase Hailey a suit and towel (which they shared).
And once she was properly outfitted, she ran all over the pirate ship.
And it was a good thing her suit was so brightly colored.  It made it much easier to keep track of her.
It's official- my kids LOVE water.
Hailey went on this slide at least 20 times in a row.
She could not get enough of it.
Then she discovered the blue tube!  There might be some water parks in our future.
Here's Hayden taking a little break and drying off in the sun.
He'd lay her and wait for the bucket to get full.
Then head out to the bottom...
And wait to get dumped on.
I don't think he ever stayed under for the full brunt of the bucket to get him.  Although, his version may be a little different.
Hailey twirling in the water spouts.
It's a good thing it was such a warm day!
Who would have known you get so wet at Lego Land?
Hayden and Jason went on the boat ride (in the distance).  You each have a water gun that you can shoot bi-standers who also have water guns and are trying to get you.  Jason got soaked by some high schoolers!

This is Hayden after the ride, shooting the water gun at the ride goers.
We then moved on to a dryer area of the park.  They are checking out the Mini Star Wars land.
 Yoda.
 Darth.
 Princess L.
Hailey on a little kid ride.
She went all by herself! So brave.
There she is, riding her horse.
We found a place to put the prisoners...  Here's Hayden playing the part.
 And monkey see, monkey do.
 Hayden trying another expression.

 And another.
 Person in a Darth suit.
 Hailey's turn.

 Hayden next to the mini-Capital.
Hayden LOVES history right now- especially history involving past Presidents.  So he was really excited to find this bust.
 Hailey and the Queen.
 Hailey and a robot.
Hailey and (your guess is as good as mine!).
They had a great time.  And before we left, each kid got to pick one last thing to "get".  Hayden choose a self portrait.  And Hailey choose to get her face painted (a pink flower- sorry, no picture).

Hailey - you look so nice in pigtails and are really brave on the water slides!
Hayden - what an actor! I think the Mini Star Wars exhibit might even have more action figures than you do at home.
What a fun day.
