Art Wrok and Rantings

Hayden made this picture at school yesterday. The comment on top (written by his teacher) is how Hayden described it to her. Jason and I tried to get him to explain it to us but he refused. He's such a moody artist.

Here's some more of Hayden's recent interactions with his sister:

1. A toddlers need to Control: I'm in the kitchen and I can see what looks like Hayden playing very nicely with his sister in the living room. But when I get closer I can see exactly what's going on... Hayden gives Hailey her teething ring and as soon as she start to bite on it, he takes it away and says "No more treats for you."

2. I hand Hailey one of Hayden's numerous Buzzy Lightyear toys. She immediately starts chewing on it (as she does most things these days). Hayden yells out "NOOOO!!!! It's not cake baby! It doesn't taste good!"

3. I'm putting diaper rash cream on Hailey's and Hayden sneaks a peek at her bottom. Then exclaims, "Hailey, you have ouwies on your butt!"

And here's some of Hayden's logic lately.. "Well, because...":

1. Hayden comes home from school with different pants because the original ones got pee on them.

Jason: "Hayden, why did you pee on your pants?"

Hayden: "Well because I peed on them."

2. Hayden's taking a bath and he points out a scrape on his knee.

Mom: "oh no, how did that happen."

Hayden: (shorten version, there were three completely different accounts) "The sidewalk did that to my skin. And do you want to know why?"

Mom: "Why?"

Hayden: "Well, because skin does that."
