The very next weekend, papa came to visit Hayden. Don't ask why my folks don't come down together- it's a bit of a mystery. I believe it has something to do with a dog they treat as a child (can't leave it alone for a weekend).
Hayden and Papa played all day Friday while I was at work. They played in Papa's truck (the bed, the crew cab, the front seat), Hayden particularly liked the tool box and bungee cords.
And this is Hayden after a long day of playing... does he look tired to you?
On Saturday we took the bus to Fashion Island. 
It was quite the adventure. Buses don't seem to come on time or very frequently in Orange County. But we made it. And Hayden was very excited to be riding the bus.
Papa's job was to keep Hayden out of the fountains and dry.
Here's Hayden showing Papa how to jump across the Koi Pond. Hayden had a great time and it was a very nice distraction from Daddy being gone in China... I'll post some of Jason's pictures next post.
