Easter Weekend

Hayden got an egg dying practice run on Saturday morning. He was very intrigued when he realized you could crack the egg and peel it!
And to my surprise, he really liked hard-boiled eggs- he ate three! Maybe I should hard-boil eggs more often. I do it so rarely I had to look up how long to cook them- pretty sad.

And here's round two of our Easter egg dying. The annual, neighborhood egg dying party.

Hayden did very well this year. Here he is fishing his egg out of the cup. And yes, that's an orange egg coming out of a green cup- the die tablets all looked the same to me!

On Friday we went to Target to get the egg dying kits and stuff for the Easter egg hunt. Right before we left, Vivian's dad told Hayden all about the Easter Bunny (I guess I failed to mention important details like candy inside the eggs). Hayden was so excited! He thought we were going to Target to pick up the Easter Bunny. While in Target he kept saying "Did you find him yet mom?", "I think I smell him!"

His disappointment in not finding the Easter Bunny in Target was quelled by the candy he got to eat on the drive home. After Dad told him last piece because you'll get a tummy ache, Hayden started singing "I want to get a tummy ache." He sings all the time and makes up all sorts of songs.
