Snow Grandma Visits

Hayden was very pleased to get a visit last weekend from "snow grandma". That's what he's started to call my mom. I guess it's fitting, they do get snow where they live. Not sure if he remembers the snow at their house or from our trip to Tahoe.
We took Grandma to see Jason's office on Friday. Hayden is now best friends with Jason's co-worker, Cherry. She has a cookie drawer at her desk and gave Hayden at least 5 cookies while he was there and then sent him home with a whole sleeve of Girl Scout Cookies.

Then when we got home grandma had all sorts of presents and Easter candy for Hayden in her suitcase. She said she had to pack light to fit them all. Hayden was glad she did.

I got some presents too! A few baby gifts from family. This is a blanket my aunt Sheila had her 92 year old mother-in-law knit for me. It's so beautiful and soft. She made me a full sized and a receiving blanket! Very special.

Here we are at Americana in Glendale- we're watching the water fountain. We drove mom to Burbank to catch a ride home with a co-worker. We left extra early on Sunday to make sure we didn't hit traffic, plus Jason wanted to see this new development.

There's a very nice park with a play ground in the middle of the main street area. Hayden approved of the park.

This week Jason's in China again. He brought a camera this time so I'll try to post some pictures. He had a 12 hour lay-over in Hong Kong and spent some time in the city. He's currently in Xian and if he's lucky he'll get a break from work to go see the Terra Cotta Warriors. It's possible he won't have time. Yesterday they worked from 8 am to 8 pm before getting dinner. And the trip before they worked until 11 pm several days. He said he might have some time his very last day.
