We celebrated the spring birthday's in our family in Morro Bay.
Great Grandma Del and Sylas.

View from the house we rented looking at Morro rock.

Looking towards Cayucus.

My parents, grandma, and Sylas meet us there. And Sue helped us drive the kids up and was able to stay one night before she had to go back to So Cal for a class.

The house.

Hanging out at the beach on day 1.

It was a little windy.

But we found some great shells. Here's a whole sea dollar.

Then we cooked German Sausage and German Potato Salad for Sylas' birthday.

Dad and me cooking at either end of the stove.

Birthday boy and Dad.

Hailey and Jason. Hailey took a header off the last step later in the week. But she was fine, just a little goose egg on her forehead.

Sylas opening his birthday present from Hayden (some stickers he took from school).

Hayden spent most of his time in the spa. We had to take turns going in with him... he probably went in 3 times a day. It's been a week and he still smells like chlorine!

And Hailey's a little water bug too.

She would have been in just as often if it wasn't for her daily nap.

Morning view.

View from our bedroom... I never get tired of that view!

View from the living room in the morning.

The waves were big Saturday morning so the boys drove to the rock to watch them.

Later that afternoon Hayden tried on the wetsuit and "practiced" his surfing (never actually got in the water past his ankles).

Good morning Hailey!

More beach time!

Hailey flopped herself in front of a little tide pool.

Ok, she might be posing for the camera.

Funny girl!

Lounging on the patio.

And I only wish Hayden was actually sleeping- there's always very little sleep on vacations.

Showing off his pirate ship tattoo. And he got tan everywhere but where the tattoo was. He has a nice white spot in the middle of his chest now.

Looking for whales.

Saying goodbye to Sylas.

My family left on Monday. But we got to stay an extra night (leaving Tuesday).

Which gave Hayden extra time in the spa!

Because why would you got down to the cold beach when you could play in the warm spa?

We had a really great time! I'm so glad everyone was able to make it. Now if we could just do it more often.
