This weekend Angela came to visit. These are her pictures of the weekend (because unlike me, she remembered her camera!)
On Saturday we visited the little nature center by Newport Back Bay (can't remember it's name).
They had a small exhibit for the kids. Here's Hayden and Hailey crawling under the pretend worm trail.
A rare picture of Hailey's face... she's always on the go. I usually just get the back of her head these days.
String ray!
Hayden really likes these types of museums.
Listening to the headphones.
Monkey see, monkey do!
And as soon as we got outside, Hailey plopped down on the side walk to watch an ant. I think she thought he was part of the exhibit!
Looking back at the entrance.
It's hard to see the building from the road because the roof of the building is at street level. It's really close to our house but it took us three years before we knew it existed.
Next we went to Crystal Court to walk around.
And the kids didn't want to pass by the merry-go-round with out a spin.
Or two!
Hailey is a real daddy's girl these days. He's her main squeeze.
Then on Sunday we headed to Irvine Regional Park.
First stop was the zoo.
These are pictures of the petting zoo portion. Hailey didn't want to get too close to the animals.
Hayden was much more brave. Here he is brushing the goats' hair (it is a goat, right?)
Those crazy goats would jump up onto these tree stumps and sit.
Not sure what Hayden's doing here- imitating the goat maybe.
Then we had a little picnic and then off to the train!
Hayden choose the very back seat!
Going into the tunnel.
Hayden REALLY wanted to ride these water tricycle things.
Unfortunately, Hayden didn't come close to reaching the pedals so Jason did all the work!
Minimum rental time was 30 minutes. I think Jason ready for it to be over about 8 minutes in! But he hung in there and lasted a little longer. :)
Another fun filled weekend!
